45th igfr european golf championship
WELCOME TO TENERIFE
DEAR ROTARIAN FRIENDS
The Organisation Committee for the 45th IGFR European Golf Championship is looking forward to welcome you between the 7th and 12th October of 2019 on the Canary Island of Tenerife.
This island has become a very selected golf destination within the last 15 years and offers meanwhile 8 different golf courses, together with a modern Hotel infrastructure and year-round temperatures of around 23 º.
Tenerife offer you the best of local cuisine as well as internationally renowned Restaurants and some fabulous events to remember. The island is easily accessible from many European airports, either on direct flights or with stopovers in Madrid or Barcelona. Only take in consideration, that it’s best to end up at the Tenerife South Airport to avoid a long journey to your accommodation.
We have s elected one of the leading Golf-hotels in the South of the island as Headquarter for this Tournament.
A Moorish style Hotel directly on the seafront next to the harbour of Puerto Colon. Its central location invites to stroll along the walkway close to the Sea or visit one of the beaches close by. The Jardin Tropical Hotel is considered a ”must” for golfers and has catered especially for many years to this selected clientele. We have secured mostly seaview rooms for your stay on Tenerife and besides the 5-nights package, offer a special extended rate for golfers who like to come for a full week or longer. The Hotel has undergone major refurbishment in 2017 and is now more “tropical” than ever, having used materials and designs which you find in many Caribbean Hotels. It has very large gardens and pools areas, as well as all outdoor facilities for relaxation, massages, gym with sea breeze and four very selected Restaurants. Our Organisation Committee will handle all the Hotel Reservations aspects for you – which leaves you only to find a good flight connection according to your schedule.
We are looking forward to welcome you soon on our Island of “eternal spring”.
